About me

Laura García-Pupo, PhD

For 14 years, I investigated to discover and develop new neuroprotective drugs in academic and industry environments. I collaborated with great colleagues to publish 11 peer-reviewed scientific articles and develop two published patents. I received the International Brain Organization (IBRO) Early Career Award and an MSCA “Seal of Excellence” postdoctoral fellowship.

Then, in 2023, I decided I wanted to write. I fully embraced my lifelong learning and writing skills and joined a medical communications agency to write CME content and analyze educational outcomes. As a former drug hunter navigating decades of pre-clinical and clinical research, I felt excited about the direct changes my work could have in clinical practice and patient outcomes. My mission is to communicate clear and accurate scientific and medical content, inspiring learning and supporting human health and well-being.
